They do, however, require that you write your full Brevard County residence address, including city, state and zip code, and sign your name in the appropriate spaces on the return envelope. All signatures will be verified against our registration records. Ballots with blank or improperly completed certificates will not be counted.

Registration books close: August 18, 2003 at 5 PM
Ballot language:
Should the City of West Melbourne annex the property described in Ordinance No. 2003-13 of the City of West Melbourne?
FOR ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2003-13 OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE
AGAINST ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2003-13 OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE
Mail ballot election: This election will be conducted as a mail ballot election. This means that ballots will be mailed to each registered voter in the proposed annexation area. There will be no polling places open for this election. Ballots were mailed on August 27 (except for overseas voters, whose ballots were mailed on August 12). Because this election is being conducted by mail ballot, you do not need to request an absentee ballot. However, if you reside in the annexation area and you have moved and not notified the elections office, or if you will not be at your residence address (or will not have access to the mailing address that we have on file for you) after August 27, you must contact us to update your address information and/or to let us know where to mail your ballot.
Moving into the proposed annexation area: If you move into the the proposed annexation area after the ballot mailing period (after September 6), you may vote in office at one of the Supervisor of Elections offices. Due to requirements of state law, no ballots other than replacement ballots may be mailed after September 6.
Voting in office: Voters with special needs or who are unsure where they will be during the mailing period may vote at one of the Supervisor of Elections offices during regular office hours from August 27 until 5 PM on September 16 (7 PM at the Viera office).
Military and overseas voters: If you are in the military or are temporarily residing outside of the country, and you have not notified our office of your military or overseas address, please do so at the How to Change Your Address page. If you have notified us previously of your current address, you do not need to do so again. Overseas voters' ballots were mailed August 12 in order to give you sufficient time to vote and return the ballot.
