Order Voter Registration Data
Where can voter registration data be obtained?
Requests for voter registration data can be made in person, by mail or by telephone
to the Titusville or Viera Elections Offices, or online by using this form.
What data is available?
Available media: list (paper), labels, diskette, CD
Available file format: all data delivered on diskette or CD is in ASCII comma delimited format, which can be opened by or imported into many different programs (NOTE: certain programs, such as Microsoft Excel,
have limitations which make them useable only for relatively small databases; consult your software documentation
for exact limits)
Available filter options: precinct, district, city, sex, race, party, status, date of birth, registration date, voting history, absentee ballot request date (absentee ballot format only)
Available sort orders: by name, by name by precinct, by residence address, by residence address by precinct, by zip code, by household, by registration number
Data formats: data is available in two formats:
NOTE: Per Section 101.62(3) of the Florida Statutes, absentee ballot request data is "...confidential and exempt from the provisions of s. 119.07(1) and shall be made available to or reproduced only for the voter requesting the ballot, a canvassing board, an election official, a political party or official thereof, a candidate who has filed qualification papers and is opposed in an upcoming election, and registered political committees or registered committees of continuous existence, for political purposes only."
How do I use the data once I get it?
Manipulation of the electronic databases described above requires database management software which is not provided by the Elections
Office. Elections Office personnel can provide only very limited support for database manipulation questions/problems. (Here is an example of how to use the data in Microsoft Excel and Word, although these programs may not be the best to use in all circumstances.)
We highly recommend that you consult someone with computer expertise prior to placing your order to determine
exactly what hardware, software and data you will need.
When can data orders be picked up?
Barring unforeseen circumstances, orders received by 3:00 PM may be picked up after 11:00 AM
the next business day at the Viera Elections Office. Add one additional day if the order is to
be picked up at the Titusville Office. The information is current as of 5:00 PM on the date of
your request. Voter history information for an election is generally available within 15 days
following the election.
How much does voter registration data cost?
Paper lists: 15 cents per page
Labels: 2 cents per label (minimum charge $1)
Diskettes: $5 per diskette
CD: $10 each
Absentee Requests by E-mail (includes initial request and scheduled updates): $25 per election
Unreturned Absentee Requests by E-mail: $5 per request
